im playing RE3 OG alll modded up on my PC right now and frankly i dont even consider anything after tank control era to be true RE, I would have killed for just a graphics remaster with quick turn and ammo crafting but nope, got another shooter steaming pile of shit
I have to view Resident Evil almost as 3 different series at this point because I largely agree with you, to me, RE 1-3 + Code Veronica and Zero are 'Real Resident Evil' while RE 4-6 are the 'Action Trilogy' and the modern ones are just 'New-RE.'
These in depth articles about the Resident Evil series are great to read. Never played any of them, but you describe them well, and mix in the facts with your experiences and expertise well. I'm trying to catch up with them, got a few more to go I think.
