Expedition 2 on the NES is only the first one IF it's the European release. In America Expedition 2 was actually Expedition 4, and when Expedition 2 was released later in a collection for the N64 it was called Expedition Chronicles. Not to be confused with The Expedition Chronicles, the EU release of Expedition Tactics 2, the prequel of which was never released outside of Indonesia
Two Worlds truly is a staggering achievement in RPGs. It introduced an innovative new gear system, where you can mash any two items of the same type together to make them stronger, it had teleports, and such sophisticated AI you could trick enemies into attacking NPCs and then loot the bodies. It's a real shame that the sequel dropped the ball, discarding the gear upgrade system for an illogical new one where you have to break every item down into components you then mash into other items to improve them, adding voice acting, and including microtransactions.
I had Two Worlds on the 360, my only memories of it are atrocious voice acting, horrible combat, having no idea where to go and getting the unwashed masses to gank the final boss in the first village and kill him
If Bubsy doesn't win, gamers will take to the streets.
It'll be an absolute robbery if not, I'll be quaking with indignant fury
more like indignant furry
3D Pinball Space Cadet or we riot. Do you think Keighley gets the lemmings from Lemmings to do a bit?
Livestreamed Lemmings deaths
I would personally add Burger King's Sneak King as a 7th nominee, but good list otherwise.
I could see it winning best indie but Black Ops 7 is a tough contender
Dang, came here to make the same suggestion!
It will be year 2026 but still no game has surpassed Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind.
Next year is our year

I can't even add to this XD Well-played

I have the same fond memories
These are all fine choices, but I think that Gollum game might sweep the awards this year.
Could do, the branching narrative tops even Mass Effect
Finally, Smarties Meltdown got the recognition it deserves.
Way better than DK Bananza
Sir, I salute you. As should Geoff Keighley 🫡
I hope he's proud of me
Geoff Keighley lived off a humble diet of Doritos and Mountain Dew tm while scraping together enough money to fund his little gaming empire.
