I know I'm in the minority on this, but Mr. X just about ruined my enjoyment of the RE2 remake. I barely tolerated him on my initial playthrough, and I couldn't finish my second run because he shows up a lot earlier on the next go around. I did love everything else about this game, though.
A more common opinion than you'd think today. I've noticed similar sentiments and a shift towards criticising this game more harshly lately, though it is excellent.
