Them getting Brosnan back for one more role he didn't want to do and then not being able to afford getting enough lines from him anyway reminds me of Kiefer Sutherland's Snake in MGS5. There was a lot going on and it's not like he's terrible but the end result is. An entire game of the protagonist basically giving everyone the silent treatment, and in the one series that really doesn't work for.

Interesting comparison I never thought of, Everything Or Nothing does feel a lot like that when you're playing: as if Daniel Craig Bond's bluntness and standoffish nature were imprinted onto the digital Brosnan.

I agree on his portrayal of Snake, not terrible but much too understated and very monotone.

I remember also finding Everything or Nothing WAY harder than previous Bond games which dragged my enjoyment down of it.

If the cover system and lock-on worked properly I think it would've been fine but they balanced the difficulty around the player being able to easily do things that they simply cannot with these mechanics.

I still get ads for the OG Goldeneye video game. Never played EoN but Goldeneye was a good game.

If you go way back, that was the first review I ever wrote here. Spoilers: I agree.

With the multiplayer coop, I seem to remember you having a certain number of lives that would carry over into the next level and not reset; you’d have to do the entire run of missions with like 12 lives. Don’t think I ever got past the 2nd mission.
